Located on over 300 acres of farmland, not only does the soybean and corn help to attract and keep the game near, but with over a mile of waterfront property on the Little Blackwater River, you will find a haven for both fish and waterfowl.  Fully equipped and well concealed duck blinds line the riverfront for your use. Whether you enjoy bow, gun, or black powder, you’ll discover a sportsman’s paradise.

Waterfowl include Canadian geese, wild turkey, duck, and dove. White tail deer are prevalent and Dorchester County has the largest herd of wild sika deer in the state.

During your stay at Windmill Place, you will have the use of our canoes, paddle boats, wave runners, and bicycles so that you are sure not to miss the surrounding acres of the Blackwater Preserve, either by land or by water. Take a bike tour of Cambridge and see the various museums, Antique shops, Country stores and farmers’ markets.

You can explore one of the many bike trails in the area that will allow you to discover unspoiled shorelines, quaint communities and nature in it’s glory.
